i just confirmed that c4040 cannot use the oem 41mm to 37mm tube adapter. It has to use CLA-1.

Using the 37mm, it will have vignetting using UV filters alone.

seeems like there is no perfect adaptor tube for the c4040,

41-37 causes vignetting
41-43 causes shadowing

however, the 41-43 wont crash to the UV lens as some have reported....

are u using the 41 to 43mm adapter?
I am thinking of using 43mm circular polariser and UV filter?
So does that mean i don't need to break a 43mm UV filter to use as an extender ring??

yes, i m using 41-43 adaptor also known as CLA-1, i didn't need to break any 43mm UV lenses...... the fit was PERFECT, me using a KONIX UV lens......

i have read somewhere that some UV lens are ultra thin and may crash, however they have not specifically referred it to the C4040, they have referred to some c2020/c3040 models.

if your lenses are not really ultra thin, you shouldn't worry too much..... buy UV lenses are not expensive S$8 are commonplace.

adaptor i bought at CP at S$30.....
