Built-in Flashlite not working

Hi all, can someone please advise as to why my built-in flash for D70 is not working ??

I have tried in several modes ,the problem is the flash will pop out when I press the shutter, but that's about it... it used to be working fine... camera has not been drop and has always been stored in a dry cabi.

Can anyone please advise ? Any settings that will disable it?

Please help ...
