This is the kind of shots that u need to be at the right place , at the right time .....

I like this alot:lovegrin:

Hi people,

Not sure whether these 2 shots would qualify as my best shot.

But it is my best "excitement" type of shot.

1st one, #2215, Massa with angry look with a stuck fuel hose on his side.
Just in case if exif not intact.
1/350s, Av, 200mm, F4, ISO1600, spot meter

2nd one, #2227, Pit crew trying to pull the offending piece of metal out.
1/500s, Av, 138mm, F4, ISO1600, centre wt.

Mitlancer,
Thanks for that. Yes, it was a case of "The right time at the Right place".

I heard the crowd go "Ooohhh!!", that was when I knew something had happened.

This was next to emergency & safety car, just before exiting the pit lanes.

I saw Massa's red Ferrari car and went running down the steps to zoom in with my 70-200mm.

It was so exciting, I snapped at least 15 shots, while adjusting settings in between to make sure no spoilt shots.

These 2 were one of the best.

Here's mine.

Nice shot:thumbsup:

Night race is good as the helmut visor is not tinted and we can actually see the driver's eyes;p

No shots of glowing red hots brakes or Sutils sparkling front right disc ?

ya, is a corner but dunno which turn...i shot thru the fences =)...was my last shot before my battery went flat =P

I shot literally dozens from this angle, but have particular affinity for this shot, mainly because of the symmetry of colour between the car and the rumble strip. I took an unconventional crop by halving the car with the road, instead of a more common rule of thirds, or centred composition. Just some light post process to improve the levels, boost colour saturation a little, and unsharp mask to achieve the final result.

well it's a commissioned shoot by red bull. so had the whole car/road to myself. OEI. this thread is about your best F1 pics leh. dont want this thread to be my thread..

that explains why the car is "going against" the F1 route. anyway fantastic shot

ok ok I know it's unfair and some of you guys have already seen this image.
so here's my contribution to this thread.

feel free to post your best single shot of F1.
