Are Sony products unreliable?

i don't think sony products are as unreliable as you state. been using sony stuffs for years, from headphones 2 digicams. all fine. i find their service ok too. my dsc-p1 (which i sold recently to make way for an A1) had problem with charging. then realized sony stated on their site that all dsc-p1 owners can go get it serviced FOC. it came back after a week, worked like new. they replaced some parts (connection) and gave me a new charger (this time the connectors are gold plated).

Hi ndroo, wondering if u can show me the hyperlink to the announcement made on P1? Cos have a P1 and 2 originall batt have "burnt" down by it. can't afford to get another original batt if there's a pro. Kindly help me? Thanks!

Hello Just bring your P1 cybershot to repair centre .They need your battery and power adapter. Definitely will replace Battery and Power adapter.They will acknowledge the issues.
Services is Free. For P2 I suggest you gave it a try.
