Was trying to get the color of the sun right
No PP other than cropping

Not exactly what I expected but I liked these

You are right
The exposure is right for the sun though, which was what i wanted

i think its perfect exposure for the sun. however what makes shots uninteresting is the lack of anything else. sun by itself cant hold the interest long enough. the attempt in 2nd photo was not successful because sun is not full circle and buildings are not exposed. a silhouette with sun and red bg works great in such picture.
