then what does EOS stand for? :dunno:

here we are:
The Canon EOS (Electro-Optical System) autofocus 35 mm film and digital SLR camera system was introduced in 1987 with the Canon EOS 650 and is still in production as Canon's current SLR system. The acronym EOS was chosen for Eos, the Titan Goddess of dawn in Greek mythology, and is often pronounced as a word, although some spell out the letters.

whhhaaaa... i faint...

My take...

Canon or Nikon why always fight?
When all you need is light.
There's also Leica and Zeiss,
Now, which one do you think it's the best?

Compare this compare that.
Why compare what money can get?
Photography is about that perfect instance.
And I'm wasting it by typing this nonsence.

Just for interest, what language is this written in. Not much point writing such a awesome poem and not letting us understand what is written. I actually tried to translate myself using Alta Vista Bable translation as well as other online translation software, and I can't even figure which language it is written. Would some kind soul please spare me my misery by letting me know what this means? :dunno:

You may be right - was checking some of the words and it pointed to some celtic language or breton language or french-breton language. Your guess is as good as mine.

:dunno:

Translation:
For any one who heard of Canon,
There shall only be one who for the greatest venture thought so.
And that at this moment we contrite,
Nay, for we knew we have chosen it right.
Begone! You, my unsolicited competitor!
Who moved not by force but by fear,
Nay! We are not deterred by you, our competitors!

An extinct language; my traditional mother tongue, although we seldom speak it nowadays. Derived from about the time when Latin branches into present day Indo-European languages.

Sony balone
A KM phoney
As a result
Owners are lonely

Sorry guys, I couldn't help myself :bsmilie:

so what is "sunray" in your language?

There's Kodak here and Kodak there
On bags and hats and shirts
But a line of Kodak underwear
Would just give me the squirts.

There are so many point and shoot
And a neat digital back
Small 6 x 4 printers too boot
Tho the prices cop some flak

But they did give us the Brownie
They did give us the neg's
Developed my snap shots soundly
From a card of 16 megs

Now, I have one of their cameras
But it's hidden in a draw
I would rather draw on canvas
Creating colours in the RAW
