$800/chair for Changi New Terminal

I think with modern manufacturing processes, durability and design can be had for well under $800 a pop.

IMO, airport authorities too loose with the purse strings.

U are right. The first thing we should do is count the no of chairs at the terminal.

I think it is a small figure as compare to the whole project.

But it is still the tax payers' money.

Anybody know the manufacturer of the chairs?

Maybe all our bus stops and other public places should install these chairs. With the huge volume, perhaps the unit price can come down to $80 :bsmilie:

Many of these items are design in XXXX country and by XXXX designer cost $$$$$$ but at the end of the day, it is made in China or Vietnam where the production cost is $$$$
