500d with 430 ex2, already have 2875 2.8 tamron

i also have another 580ex2

but feel very tempted to get an L lense of 17-40 f4


would f4 L lense make alot of difference in term of picture quality?

or should i get my 2nd580 ex2?

I like this L lens just becos it is internal zoom, reasonable price for an L lens and the color it produced...

Define your needs, don't fall for temptations. Do you need focal length below 28mm or more possibilities for flash setup? Keep in mind that you don't need a 580EX2 to manage your other flash. Especially for offshoe setups people use manual flash settings, a simple radio trigger is enough.

Mayb it's those temptation to own an L wide lens despite I shooting 7d on 70-200 f2.8 already..
