500D Question

Hi to all CSer,

I currently own a 500D and been reading the spec of 500D in Canon website. I'm not quite sure on the Effective ISO row that states "ISO 100 – 3200, expandable to 6400 & ISO 12800..."

so..how do i expand it?

Ah..so its actually the camera function!! But i dun think i'll up the ISO to 6400 coz of noise..

Hmm, personally i think there's no need to reach ISO3200 and above. Max ISO1600 for me and i'm still feeling noisy.
