I'm considering getting a high capacity 1GB card. But with bad experiences with other media like SM that got fried by static, I'm rethinking this. So what do everyone say to the above?

I been using the ultra II scandisk 1G and so far no worries. Its fast too to upload the pictures on the comp.

These types of storage media has "lifespan". Can do 10000 writes or something like that. My perspective is if you constantly write small number of files, purge and reuse card, you'd reduce the lifespan of your 1gb media faster. Hence 2x512mb would be more effective.

But people are lazy.. so go with the 1gb
