Alamak. Just realized that D600 only has 3 frames for AE Bracketing? :dunno:

oic, so nikon prices is never usd x 1.5 ? i am using Canon right now.. contemplating a cheap FF camera body..

Amazon was selling the D700 at US$2,000/$2100 - SG price at the same time was still $3,090 that's 1.5x. Anyways if you really want to get it cheap go to HK have a holiday. Come back and declare at customs get $600 off duty free allowance and pay 7% on the remainder. Try Echo in HK.

In Aussie:

" Nikon Australia has announced the much anticipated Nikon FX D600 camera. Described by Nikon as the D800's 'baby brother' rather than as a replacement for the D700, the D600 features 24.3MP in a compact yet robust body.
First stock should be available from 18/9/12.
Price A$2450. "

yes, 24-85 VR. Which is approx that price (700++) by itself..

Street price for 24-85 VR is $63* in sg, hence my question...hehe

Just read that D600 has dual sd slots! Imho better than d800's cf+sd.

Also like the WiFi transmitter add-on option.

Eh... Where exact is it?

Under auto focus

Nikon Multi-CAM 4800 autofocus sensor module with TTL phase detection, fine-tuning, 39 focus points (including 9 cross-type sensors; the center 33 points are available at apertures slower than f/5.6 and faster than f/8, while the center 7 points are available at f/8), and AF- assist illuminator (range approx. 0.5 to 3 m/1 ft 8 in. to 9 ft 10 in.)

If I'm not wrong..

From the brochure,

The big launch of the D600 for Singapore is over, time for Nikon Singapore to step up the plate and provide ample stock here.

Not interested in the first unboxing of D600 on youtube.

Thanks all for the heads up.

Sigh.....

I think I should hold on for a year or two. My Tokina 11-16 still has 2 years warranty, my Nikkor 40mm still got 1 year warranty. I think it's "Sayang" if I sold them just because of D600....

tell me guys.... is it Sayang?

Why you need sell tham off?
The DX lenses should be good enough to play from D600 on DX format.

The Tokina 11-16mm is a great 16mm "prime lens" in FX mode! Plus, the 40mm macro works in FX mode too. Haha.

You can consider selling them too.
