I recommended Sanyo 2300 too. They're the leader in the market. Pair it with Maha charger and you've the best of all.

I usually work with my 24-120mm due to it's weight and range thought I've the 28-70mmF2.8. The VR technology work quite well and image quality is good enough to produce a decent size. I must said that it a good lense for it's price. Surprised that some are giving it up.

thomaschan, if I were you with only a choice of 2 lenses, I'll get the 24mm (20mm if you've the budget) and 50mm. These'll cover at least most of the subjects.

What's the cost of Ricoh GR21 and GR1V now? They look very attractive.

I've no issue with D2H and D1X battery. D2H do show a more accurate indicator. It might due to it's new lithium-ion battery.

I own the old T2. An excellent compact camera that produce good result, looks good and well build. Willl keep it for life.

Cathay Photo carry quite a good range. Domke is my favourite brand. They're light, good looking and durable.
