It has been a long wait before Ive finally executed this under water macrophotography. The idea came from the Close-up in Nature book by J.Shaw (Micro Aquariums).
These are actually Mosquito Larva (a.k.a. wriggler because of its almost constant wriggling movements just below the water...
Thanks to Melvyn for guiding me on the exact location of the Tiger Beetles at AMK garden. The coloration and markings are really fascinating!
Some experts describe this ground beetle as "Very active and alert, running swiftly over the ground and, unlike almost all other beetles, taking flight...

First time I saw the actual hatching of Lynx egg on a very interesting nest!
Right place at the right time, quiet wind added to the advantage.

I've got a newly Wed A70 and 50mm f/1.8 lens that I've been playing around for 2 weeks.
They were an old friend but only decided to get wed 2 wks ago...
Very fine and compatible couple, I must say. In fact their 2 weeks love affairs produced some admirable kids..
The romance started here...

Damselflies are not as easy subject as dragonflies, esp. when you talk about head and shoulder' shot. They are smaller, less tolerant and not territorial. Dont give them any reason to fly for they will not return to the same perch.
