[technical] Looking for Video Camera shooting good Progressive quality

Hi DXN, I'm afraid there's no way for a HF10 PAL version to shoot 24p. Even for the American NTSC version which can shoot 24p - it's not even true 24p because they encapsulate the 24p video a 60i stream to maintain compatibility with TVs. So this 24p, or more accurately PF24, has pulldown frames...

[technical] Looking for Video Camera shooting good Progressive quality

dxnmedia, feel free to barge in. Yes, the limited framerate of 25p does give very unsmooth pan, but if you see Jagersing's video, they discarded one of his 25p frames to make 24p, causing an abrubt jerk ever second when he was panning the F1 car smoothly. It would appear much smoother in the...

Flash that was complicated compressed text but I read it after some time decoding. Thanks, I agree also. The contact person is Brian@convergent.com.sg DID:68281826 His name is Brian Mak and he's into a project at this time, but he'll be glad to help. I'll alert him to this thread too...

[technical] Looking for Video Camera shooting good Progressive quality

jaegersing, great feedback. deinterlacing of H264 is not easy and not fast. Tools are barely available, and Virtualdub does not easily recognize the MTXXX containers. And even when the editing programs handle the deinterlacing, they don't give me the control I need. Thanks for using Canopus...

[technical] Looking for Video Camera shooting good Progressive quality

Looking for the cheapest video camera in the world capable of progressive recording, capable of true 16:9 using square pixel without flags, recording on flash card. HD or SD (standard def) does not matter. Codec does not matter. Lens does not matter. To the supergeeks among you, you probably...

Missing thread ?! => ClubSNAP - Post COMEX SanDisk Ultra II - Extreme CF Clearance Sa

Looking at all zed2art's posts, looks like he is a Sandisk sales guy... so instead of questioning Clubsnap's impartiality (which has been very acceptable actually) I now question zed2art's impartiality. For everybody's information, I am from Convergent Systems, and we sell Lexar, Kingston...

What brand of 512mb CF card that has lifetime warranty?

For all practical purposes, we give you the warranty which Lexar covers us for. That means, what the Lexar webbie says, is what we offer you. The Lexar website states that Warranty to be valid as long as owned by original purchaser. For obvious reasons, the sheer scale of volumes moved...

    Online photo printing recommendations

Me and my friend recently supplied data and got Yeeming Photo (at International Plaza) to get Fuji engineers re-calibrate their Fuji Frontier machine to perfect calibration and firmware upgrade. The result was excellent. I don't know whether they are under the fujufilm.com.sg network of...

What is the price for Lexar 512MB?

Sorry in advance, mod, this is in response to Gymrat76, just 1 post. No lah, my product manager in charge of flash just pointed me to a certain thread which was interesting, and then I just came in and got hooked. I've been crazy about cameras from my Secondary 1 days, and have been a avid...

What brand of 512mb CF card that has lifetime warranty?

I'm from Convergent Systems. I'm overall in charge of non-DRAM products (although we have individual product managers for them). From time to time I'll come into Clubsnap to post. However, the username `ConvergentSystems' is already posting for months already, and that's the usual userID used by...

Lexar 1GB (40X) (New and Improved version with 2.0 Image Rescue)

I agree with your principle. However, the capacities you mention, I don't quite agree. Today, pros we know buy several pcs 1GB and not smaller, shoot in RAW/NEF (or some not critical one, shoot in high JPG) ... 512MB is just too small for them. As for myself, I carry 3 1GB with me during...

What brand of 512mb CF card that has lifetime warranty?

Lexar WA series is lifetime warranty - meaning life of product. Lexar normal is not lifetime warranty. As for Kingston, we have replaced FPM memory which was 12 years old.

    MO: SanDisk Extreme 1 GB

At this time, we have not set the pricing for the Lexar. But we will make every attempt to price it reasonably. Special discounts - will not come from Convergent, margins are too thin on our side from the start anyway, but from manufacturer. Our roots are in computer peripheral distribution...
