Aperture Priority mode and extremely long shutter times

For street photography, different people have different preferences, some prefer using apertures from f/5.6 ~ f/8 so everything they want is sharp. For others, they would rather use apertures like f/2 ~ f/3.5 in order to isolate their subjects from the background. It's all about personal...

Aperture Priority mode and extremely long shutter times

Basically, attempting to squeeze an equal amount of light via a smaller hole will cause the light rays to diffract, causing images to be less sharp compared to a bigger hole (smaller aperture) where light rays diffract less. Here's a link for you to read: Diffraction: When Smaller Apertures No...

Aperture Priority mode and extremely long shutter times

For landscape shots, try to keep your aperture within f/8 and below. Regarding ISO, try to keep to 800 and below and you should be fine.

Has anyone here owned both the Tamron 17-50 non-VC version and the sigma 17-50? Is the extra 400 bucks worth the difference in IQ? how does the color reproduction of the tamron compare to the sigma? :(

    Longing, and waiting.

I don't know much, but whenever I imagine someone walking alone, there's always this image of a strong wind blowing her hair and she's just all.. alone. Glad the pictures could portray the theme though! Anonymity is something I like a lot personally, so thanks for your kind words. :p...

    Mountains

Being brutally honest, here are my comments: 1. The stiching isn't all that great, there seem to be artefacts at the bottom of the picture that renders it fuzzy with lines, and I think reduces the image quality by a far bit. 2. The black and white processing is not working as it should. I'm...

    [Linerax's] A capture a week.

It's been some time since I've posted here, and being it a student I guess it's not possible for me to juggle both photography and studies at all. I'll be facing my streaming next year for my JC classes, something different from O level since my school doesn't have it. I think this thread will...

    [Linerax's] A capture a week.

School work is starting to become very very hectic, so I'm unable to post photos weekly anymore. That doesn't mark the end of my passion in photography! I'll keep posting whenever I can, most probably more during the holidays! :) 07 | 04 | 10: St. Andrew's Cathedral. C&C please!
