I don't think it is the nature of self-charge. lipo battery self-discharge should less than 10 % per month. It is half gone within a week.

Anyone noticed if their A6000 will drain the battery even when it is off ? Any remedy ?

Please update what is your latest feeling. I don't see the PDAF selection on mine. But I noticed that the small boxes (PDAF) will only appear in AF-C, for AF-S, only the bigger boxes appears My version has 1.00 for Body and 01 for Lens. Many thanks.

That piece of plastic probably cost US$1, or lesser. But, if they can sell 1 million nex6, that a 1 million bucks saved. Simple as well.

Cost cutting. Everyone is doing that. Not just Sony. I recall my Nex-7 kit came with lens cap and body cap for the lens and body. And it actually come with a battery charger. Now, you don't get any of those, and the "battery charger" is now a USB power adapter with a pretty low rating.
