    perspective control. thanks.

Microsoft bought landscape shots from a relative noob for Vista's wallpaper....

without taking away any thunder and shine from the photographer here are my observations: 1. i wonder if any one noticed the fact that he shot 6000 raw images. getting 30 good images out of those is not exactly difficult if the photographer knows even a little. 2. Experience in photography...

    Sentosa Flowers 2007

the one with yellow flowers is excellent. 2nd suffers with little dof. 1st is good but ordinary. the last one has too much clutter. i would suggest taking it off. thanks.

Science - The Light and Dark of it

underexposed i would have to say. i would suggest reading zone system for exposing whites (camera exposes them to make them look grey). subject wise, i dont think the photo expresses anything substantial as yet. but the subject has potential. try different composition if you get another...

    My first shoot with 600si

underexposed and large depth of field which makes the pic very cluttered. colours are dull too. need more saturation. try longer focal length and focus on just one flower. work on composition too. major subject is dead centre. thanks.

    Orchid - c&c please

no, on the contrary i like the idea of a dark backgrounds. but you have to support it with a sharp foreground or else the picture loses the punch. also, make sure your foreground and bg are in contrast (e.g. green or red over black). another thing is composition. you have started well but left...

    The Gift of Life

"a picture is worth a thousand words" so if you have to write a thousand words to explain a picture, its worthless. your ideas and the picture aren't complimentary as well. if you wish to display comparison, step back. if you wish to show superiority of human over any other species, think of...

    In a strange new world

good concept, average execution. all it needed more was to have the upper opening more in view and perhaps a tad little overexposed to blow out the details. the vastness of the room certainly overemphasizes the loneliness and opening represents hope in my mind. thanks.

    Admiring the View

step back, underexpose a little to turn the person into a silhoutte and (although not entirely in your hands) wait for the skies to turn into that lovely shade of pink, red and purple. looking at the amount of clouds, that would have been the end results. thanks.

    Lines and Curves

wide angle would have reduced the size of termination further. slight overexposure would have brought out certain details in shade and blown out the termination. slight over saturation would have added the impact. and if there was a silhouette formed at the terminal point, it would have pushed...

    when u're old..

interesting concept, non interesting execution. i can understand it might not be prudent to include faces but in its absence you have to be careful about composition and elements. tilted horizon doesnt work most of the time. thanks.

    Gloomy town

hardly anything in the pic to admire. learn about subject matter, something that would make user interested in the pic. also, i understand you are new but i dont think its useful to add exif details. thanks.

    Bean sprout macro.

    unfortunately it doesnt work..

    Sleep Baby Sleep

naah, i prefer the first one... the brightness is infectious (in a positive way) and the composition is near optimum (i would take away the washed out bottom left corner along with some back ground on the left by around 1 inch (screen measurement) as it does not add any value to the shot). the...
