It was kind of done on purpose cause I wanted to try doing something that is different and not the conventional baby pix ...... great feedback regardless! :)

My first attempt taking baby pix with my SLR..... Friend's baby boy taken @ 2 weeks old.....wanted to do something different from the usual baby pix.... Taken using Canon 400D 18-55mm Kit Lens ISO400 Aperture: F5.6 Shutter: 1/4 Exposure Compensation: +1/3 Wld like feedback on...

So for DSLR, will using a GND or ND be a better fit in this case?

I've also taken some pix .. and the colors were either too orange or too red...... but since the shot is taken from far, will changing the white balance to tungsten help? Any other ways to help rectify this? :)

Did you make use of any filters? The clear reflection on the water is impressive....! :thumbsup:

Me neither... tat's the struggle I have when i take nite shots... n plus, hand held.... ;p

I'm guessing its because the shutter speed is still not fast enough...... esp if you want to create the "freeze" effect....

Would you increase the ISO in order to compensate for the fact that you need to have a faster shutter speed and still retain a shallow deep of field? It's again back to the question of possibility of grainy pix vs DOF/speed....
