Do you notice purple fringing in Steve Huff's pic ?

Any silver prime lens with Nikon mount ? It will look great with Nikon Df silver body.

Should ask him which lens he used to take that pic.

As for silver Nikon mount prime on silver Df, maybe the Nikon 45mm f/2.8 pancake which jnet6 has and posted the pic below on.

Somehow the silver DF have a very plastic feel to me when I see in photos. Still prefer the sexy black! :p

Recycling an older post, since jeff asked about silver lens on silver Df:

Is it silver lens ??

As silver as it gets other than 45mm f/2.8 silver. Original silver nose, silver body Nikkor.

Otherwise the Df is also not silver, but black and silver.

Thank you for the picture. But when I said silver, it referred to pure silver lens, not 80% black 20% silver ;)

I wonder if anybody have this lens attached to Nikon Df silver body. The classic Nikkor silver 45mm prime lens.

If that's the standard of silver then you'll have but one lens, and only 1 lens. Have 45mm will travel then.

No laa
I know there are a lot of white/grey Nikkor zoom lenses, but 45mm f/2.8 is not the only Nikkor silver prime lens out there.

There is Nikkor 170mm f/1.4 silver also

This is not F mount. Good luck getting this lens on the Df.

I challenge you to find another completely silver lens that will mount on the Df.

No need to continue this challenge, unless can DIY then u win.

There is a reason why Nikon is called the Dark Side mah

Yes yes. The dark side. But I have many silver body Nikkors all MF, all non-AI. AF ones all black.

Agreed. But no silver. O wait, there is... el cheapo zooms! You're a genius!

The Nikon light grey lenses came not only in wide aperture zooms, but were more expensive than the black ones. At that time, I don't think anyone would have considered the AF-S 300mm 2.8, 400mm 2.8 and 500mm F4 as "cheapo zooms".
