Hi guys,
Anyone know where to get cheap and good solar film installation or car in Bukit Timah or west areas?
So many choice, ND1, ND2, Circular Polarize or Linear Polarize? How many stop u want?
Filter or solar fim for car?? Lol..
notice some cars their solar film turn wavy, wondering is this due to installing cheap solar film? if so, this is worst then not have solar film, cos it will affect the visibility.
mine is still look fine for coming to 10 years, probably always park at multi-story car park. Seldom park under hot sun. This is after long time, wear and tear, I think. My dad's car solar film was like 5-6 yrs, and ours have the wave... some friend's peel off, others have bubble...
So have to change since it affect visibility and when plus rain, can be dangerous...... as visibility is reduced... imagine with the wave, no rain... I have problem differentiating 6, 8, 9 of the car no. plate in front... got it changed after checking out some options online...
With the current heat... no solar film.. not so good bah...
Just note that when the replace solar film, so car demister can be damaged....

definitely its due to cheap films
You sure premium good brand film will not happen even after 5 years? Assuming parking in open air car park...
I dunno about you. But my experience has been good. Current ride comes with film fixed by agent, Cool n Lite brand. Drove for 7 yrs liao. And I park at open surface. No problem at all
Previous ride, the film fixed in JB, brandless and obviously cheap. Gives the waves problem after a while
I was wondering if it is workmanship.... my original come with package but forgotten the brand. Yr 6 start wave... and feel like more protection after like 5 yrs....
Got wave is not due to workmanship. It's the quality of the film material.
Bubbles and peeling are due to workmanship
I had VCool for first car. Seemed good but I sold the car after a few years.
2nd car I tried Huper Optic. Not very good, started to peel and turn milky after 8 years.
Current car (2nd hand) has some film with a little air pocket.
film is good as it prevents glass from shattering. Windows shattered with film before.
Actually. ... in sg... unlikely we hv earthquake. .. etc... but home windows good to hv too... I diy my home windows with films...
Good move. Our home windows are not subject to much stress but almost every shopping centre would have experienced the sudden shattering of tempered glass.
