Yup, better wait for the new one. I bought a GRDIV when it came out but I would definitely not buy it now, a 1/1.7" sensor just doesn't cut it anymore. A cheaper camera will do just fine if you don't need more.
I guess that makes Panasonic and Olympus the losers since the LX-7 and XZ-2 still use 1/1.7" sensors...
ok la bro, GRDIV now black one $390 cash, seems like a pretty good deal, if you shoot mostly in daylight and like the large depth of field for small sensor even at f1.9. Dont get caught up in the big sensor craze.
I saw that black color one at TK Foto @Funan at around that price (cash & carry) last Wednesday night. Now might be even lower if they still have stock, I guess!Where is it selling at $390?! Sounds like a steal even with the small sensor. The drawing of small sensor cameras, with it's enormous depth of field is very different, and provides unique pictures large sensor cameras might not b able to.....

It is still $390 as of this Tuesday and yes, there is still stock available.

Wow! I am itching to buy, workplace is within 3 km and 5 minutes by bus to Funan!

Can I just check with you guys.... What makes you attracted to the GRD IV? I see many positive responses here and decide to check this cam out.
This is not a wet blanket thingy but really innocent questions.... Cos I checked the specs and it has no zoom, not exactly the widest aperture available at f/1.9 (many zoom compacts can match this or even better), and it's sensor size is the same as many mid-level compacts. And also, it's not exactly a slim camera.
Was surprised at the very high initial release price!
Is it because the image the GRD IV can produce is better compared to other digicams?
