Hi, All 5D3 brothers, need you help me to do a choice.
My choice is quite tough to be made: which shop to go between CP and TK? I have experiences bought gears with both of the shop.
I read through this post and above two are falling down on my buy list.
Thanks your help and I have no intention to A-Z the two shops and any other shops.
Yep, since its tough I will thank you so much even I'm PMed. Thanks.

I walked in both shops many times, and always get cold service and lousy price, so I never buy. I buy all my stuff now from SLRR. Good service better price.
Don't flame me. I know some csers swears by tk, some cp. Me? SLRR lor.

I have the similar experience at TK as well. It depends who you get to serve you. So far James and Ark are good. 2 weeks ago, I when to TK first but James and Ark were not in. The salesperson did not bother much when I was not sure what Lens should I match. It was a weekday afternoon with just 1 other person in the shop.
I bought my 5D3 with 24-104 from Willy of SLRR 2 weeks ago.
After I told Willy that I want to buy 5d3 so that I can shoot my family outings in low light but I do not want to travel heavy. Willy patiently served me for an hour as I moved from 7D and not sure what lens should I take. He walked through the lens about weights, reach, aperture and cost.
I also bought the 17-40, 600ex-RT and some filters from SLRR as well.
Today I went to TK Photo and served by Ark. He patiently help me to decide whether to get the ST-E3-RT or Phoetix or Pocket Wizard. Finally I got the ST-E3-RT from him. Concurrently, Ark also patiently helped another customer to decide between a $20 or $23 UV filter for 50 1.8. I was really impressed by his service.
Later I went to SLRR. Cannot find a bag that does not look like a camera bag. Willy referred me to K-13 in Pennisular. bought a Billingham there.
So my opinion is that it is really about who is the salesperson that serve you.
My apology. Now I recall again, I think I might have mixed up my old battery with the new one.
Actually, now thinking again, the shutter count is with the batter and only Canon service can read the body shutter count?
The shutter count should be stored as a variable in EPROM (flash memory), like how firmware data is stored.
Technically, anybody (not only Canon) has the way to decode the number will be granted has the ability to encode the number. E.g., reset the shutter counter to zero.
Canon Shutter Count - EOSCount can read the count number ---- can or cannot write the counter number?
Don't know.
One thing I know, they can write the date and time to your camera.
On the other hand, does the shutter counter include usage of video? If not, then that is not a good indicator of how used our cameras are. For 5D3, this is vital as many people are buying this camera for its video capabilities.
