Noooooooo!!! One of my favorites films!! But I will admit I haven't been shooting slides due to the higher costs..so I guess I'm a little guilty..now fuji has a monopoly on slide films...

I still have a few rolls of E100VS I think. Admittedly, I have only been consuming Fuji slide films of late so it's no real loss I suppose.

Stocking up time. Just ordered over USD800 over worth of film. In 6 months WW stock will be depleted.
China MF/LF groups already started mass ordering (one guy order 1000 rolls of 120 ! )
Very disappointed with the Americans. In the past ten over years working with North American companies, I can only say that the technical people are brilliant and hard workers. The management are all politicians. A team of 25 people can have 24 managers shouting at one engineer giving orders.
Ridiculously high salaries only created a bunch of arrogant idiots. (Seagate is one of them). Their downfall is just so clear.
Was placing high hopes on Kodak to make a come back, but looks like the decline is slowly AND SURELY.
USA is on its way down into the flushed toilet bowl....
Kodak E100VS about USD $35 from Adorama. Other places are going to jack up the prices soon. Act now.

Not very reassuring to be honest. Kodak's management figures there are only a few hundred oldskoolers left shooting film???

The frakking idiots are pulling a fast one on us.
Good thing i picked up a half-frame camera today. But that won't help if in two years' time (if they survive) kodak announces that "while we are aware that dozens of loyal enthusiasts are using our film products worldwide, regrettably ..."

Just listened to the podcast. The most profitable is still motion picture for them. However after speaking to a student producer in NTU, he told me film is still too expensive to shoot. He does not even print his film, he only telecine them. He added that for connoisseurs it is ok to shoot film, for work, go digital.

In the face of digital movement, Fujifilm was quick to embrace it in its infancy, saw its possibilities and diversified into a strong arm ( though they had a very brief early stint in FF DSLRs, probably gunned down by C and N )
Kodak while being the early inventors of digital sensor did not seem to push hard into digital when the trend was at immaturity, and the lukewarm start led them to be late in the game.
