PM me where you are meeting up? quite interested in your setup.

I am bringing nothing thats really impressive.

i am going with fren too...but wont be bringing anything much...no macro lens also...using normal 18-200 zoom lens to take the flowers... won't be bringing tripod...

;) No worries, different setup equals different expression of the image.
But try not to shoot too late as flowers are best when there are a lot of light.
You can try shooting as low as you can and you might find another perspective. :D

believe me when i say for flowers or anything small, bring a tripod even if its those freebie one. At the very least, a monopod. Gives flexibility when you want to try different intrepetations of the same subject.

Cool, sony nex 3 can do a very nice panoramic.
Will be looking forward to seeing it in action.

Was there around 3pm and started to walk in from the boardwalk but didn't managed to capture those further up from imbiah as that time was already 7pm.

So saturday going back in the morning with full force. :bsmilie:

Bro, flower have to shoot early for optimum light.
Try to be earlier next time. :)

went there this morning at 1030 , what can I say . Overcrowded with indians.. blocking , standing . so much so that . I left 1 hr after coming in. u arent going to find a decent spot for tripod without stepping on their toes

As i mentioned earlier,do come as early as 7 in the morning.Ample parking available but the the crowd can be overwelming.Headcount for the 1st day estimated at 70k so u can imagine trying to get good shots.
Anyway, good luck to those who are coming later and be prepared not to be irritated by the
crowd.

I have every intention to deploy the spikes in my tripod on their toes.
And I don't have a qualm about removing them from my way.
Not a good way to portray myself hoh but this is loneWolff, I mean business when I shoot serious. :D

Jaw dropping... anyway I got macro lens so I'm shooting small.

wa. i saw 2010 photo dun dare to go there already. flooded with ppl =(

Wah...lonewolff like paparazzi style, will do anything for that perfect shot.Want to know something I noticed this year compared to last year?
Even the foreign workers are now armed with DSLRs,nexes, pens and tripods. Some even with fast lens.
Sigh!Times are a changing or the economy must be going very well for them.
There you are, with that macro lens, aiming, just about to press the shutter button and then..
****! Someone nudge you in the arm.It happened to me.Not only that, they walk right in front of you when knowing you are about to shoot.DAMN!
The moral of the story?Patience bro, patience.
Still, early morning is the Best Time.Trust me.

Damn.. now i am wondering should i still go a not. :dunno:

Well, any of you gentlemen who has served or am serving in Army knows that we could wait all day for an instruction that never came.
So patience being a virtue is bs, it is from the long years of training in the Army.
I'm no paparazzi but I can be forceful if I need to as the Army also provided me the training to deal with any hostiles.
I won't be expecting a clear shoot with the all visitors around but its ok as today is my recce trip.
Low end DSLR is getting cheap like nothing, fast lens sometimes mean rental, second hand or simply a good long term investment.
They could always resell a good lens while a camera body might not bring in a good return.
