Sentosa Flowers 2011 (3-13 Feb)

I have warned all of you 1 week ago,now u see it?Anyway,Banglas,Indians,Thais,China Chinese,Philipinos,Burmese etc. etc...where got visiting family.
Visit Sentosa, casinos, zoo, birdpark n even botanical gardens Yes Lah!
Still wondering whose feet Lonewolff going to spike before he get spiked himself!Do put on safety boots if you are up to the challenge.
People say F1 photography is demanding?Think again.
I,as an insider an a photography brudder(Still new though),hope that u enjoy the exhibits and capture your shots that u wish for, also hope that u sacrifice sleep and leave home at 6.30 in the morning before the BATTALIONS arrive.Really.

went there yesterday afternoon.
yes, there were plenty of banglas and ATs.
but honestly the flowers displayed are boring, not worth to going down if you ask me.

I have every intention to deploy the spikes in my tripod on their toes.
And I don't have a qualm about removing them from my way.
Not a good way to portray myself hoh but this is loneWolff, I mean business when I shoot serious. :D

Be careful, they are the government's beloved foreign talent. ;p

if you are into macro or close up of the flowers.. they are nice and fresh..

in my opnion,...in all fairness, the workers did reallly put in good effort to keep the flowers in good conditions for us to enjoy .. we are celebrating with our family and yet they are still working (away from family/home)... that one i kudos to them..

I survived the shoot but I'm not too sure about the people around me.
Out on a three man team that manage to secure decent area for shoot.
Shooting landscape is out of the question as the people there have really ugly poses.
Btw, those who saw someone swinging the tripod around violently? That's me.

I was there shooting macros of flowers but my 70-300 only has 1:2 and that also means standing a distance away from the subject to get it in focus. I found it even more difficult due to the crowd and getting enough space sometimes to shoot also proves a challenge.

Those who are used to the crowd please come at 8am the next time.
It is accessible, just need to push the barricade away.

:bigeyes::bigeyes: So many people.
How to shoot landscape ?

This was taken yesterday afternoon with my 70-300.

fortunately I went on a Thru morning1030 . and it been a challenge to have a 2nd thought of leaving after u see the Q at vivo . we took a walk into sentosa instead and paid $1 dollar for entrance. shoot along the way as and when I happy and block a few banglas and indians along the way . Din bring my tripod as I am afraid some one will get the toes pierce by my spikes, :p Went on to the beach station and waited for the q just to get a drink outside 7-11. took a bus back at 12 pm.

Just returned from sentosa. Not much flowers to see but over crowded with Indians and china workers and lots of rain water. Complete waste of time. Botanic garden could be better option !

Agree alot man..It's a totally wasted trip.

Hmm, maybe my expectation is lower and I tend to injure people more often so my experience was rather decent.
Landscape shoot is achievable only at 8am but the landscape itself fail to inspire me.
I will probably shoot again soon in the weekdays as the flowers are rapidly approaching doomsday.

This afternoon i saw that wolff chatting with 2 curious ladies at mid level.

went there this morning, reach about 9.45am. By 11am, the crowds starts swelling and by 1pm... it's jam pack... at vivo, the queue is all the way to the 2nd floor... but pretty orderly... I think tomorrow's crowd will be worse.

To be frank, the flower festival has really limited species of flowers :(
