normally need to take off cap and switch to on, then press the view button.
But I realise if do not remove cap, then switch on, a message will come up, but if you press the view button now, you can view all the photos.

Now my qn is this, how does the cam know the cap is still on. Is it the lens entend and hit the cap, so when there's pressure the lens will retract?

Will this damage the lens mechanism in the long run?

What I would do when I normally want to view pictures is to press and hold the view pic button, then switch the camera to On.

is this a shortcut ?? :)

This won't prompt the "remove your lens cap" msg on the lcd screen

Anyone knows how the lens cap detection works ?:)
