Yesterday TCSS was brought to you by the Letter C,
CARLSBERG,:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Weegk, have you considered getting two DSLR bodies fitted with different fast primes, or 1 fast prime with 1 wide zoom, or 1 wide fast prime with 1 medium zoom?
Bro... can you next time try using f/2.8 instead? For testing purposes - f/2.8 vs f/4....
I think you might as well go for AF-S 300mm f/4 right?
considering 2 bodies with 1 wide zoom/prime and 1 medium zoom actually . . .
i have the 10-24mm wide and so now looking for a medium zoom . . . . :think:
my body will come next year hopefully . . . :think:
aite i will if i have a model to shoot... hahahaha
nope, i never felt the need to get a 70-200 before, neither the 300 f4, coz i dont know when i will use it in daily routine, unless its for work than its a diff story lah...![]()

ah yesh thats just me, i will make my subject suffer if i have too, for the shot i want...
and krigs, its time to get a netbook, and hide in the bathroom... hahahahaah

I think VR I is good enough if you don't plan to move to FF... for me... I tend to go crazy with FF lenses (just in case strategy). Nope haven't used the VR I, guy to ask would be quizesilver - I think he has tried both - coz his friend owned both.
Why are you poisoned by 85mm f/1.4 really? Are you going into portraiture?![]()
Well, I understand if you use 50mm f/1.8 to use it as macro coz it's dirt cheap... However, 300 f/4 not exactly a cheapo lens leh... :bsmilie: what's the secondary usage besides macro?
Ask Pasay, he was the one who showed me a pro photographer using the 70-200 for portrait shoots. Actually, though very tight, it still allows you to get closer from afar... Head and upper shoulder shoot with good bokeh also. It depends on your angle and perspective of course. I think any fast prime / zoom is good as long as you know how to utilise the FL well...
it has always been in the back of mind to get the 85 1.4 be it nikon or sigma for a very long time, i used to lug around the 70-200vr1 to take portraits... but i realize i never shoot more go over than FL of 100, and also i been in discussion with a few frens to go serious in weddings, and i always love portraits be it posed or candids...
