This is a welcome news for the society, for me, it was more for justice and send a strong signal to all youth, that such act of riot and causing serious injuries was foolish, dangerous and it does hurt your own families as well.
They look just like any regular guy on the street. A trivial staring incident led to the killing and now their lives are set to be over. Come to think of it, if they had met the victim in other circumstances, be it a BBQ, thru friends, or at a common workplace; they could have been friends.
Yeah, they could do one thing more wrong than taking a life...... getting caught. They are dead men walking as far as I'm concerned....
A friend who stays at Tampines where the wake was told me he saw many of his friends ( of the deceased) turning very aggressive towards a few photographers and cameramen who were there to shoot the funeral although they were standing very far away. Some of the media were threatened ,chased at and blocked from shooting even though they had kept a distant. Good thing the media people did not argue because if not all hell will break loose when it was such a emotional moment.A lot of expletive were used by those youngsters towards the media.
You guys can catch it on the news.The great irony is the poor boy was killed by some gangster but yet his friends also behaved this way.

i find it extremely hilarious when unidentified teenagers (probably teenagers, i would be quite sad if we had 40 year olds doing this sort of thing) start hurling insults at each other on the internet (especially during online games) ... including challenges such as "i live XXXX place! come and find me if you got ballz" :bsmilie:
on the rare occasion, you have the nut that will just keep spouting gang language in some confounded, confused attempt to feel more important. :bsmilie:
Actually if the media was positioned at a distance, cannot prevent them from taking footages. Good that the media people were gracious and did not insist. If the deceased frens were to assault the media, then there's gonna be more arrests.
Everyone thinks this guy was helplessly chopped to death.. in my opinion he is not as innocent as it seems... From the video.. looks more like one gang fight with another gang, just that this guy unlucky to die from it. All his friends behave more like gangsters wannabes than students.....
Hope all four will be hanged as a DETERRENT WARNING and CAUTION to other Ah Bengs !

actually i dun find the victim looks like an innocent boy boy, he look like one chao ah beng to me also. probably he is also as "xia lan" (the term ah bengs used).
If I remembered reading correctly, it was reported that eye witness heard his group challange the other group. I am trying to find the article.

according to that article, these is a chinese newspaper article saying that "the victim continues to taunt the murderer after the fist fight even when the victim's friend is trying to pull him away"
