downloaded trial version of photoshop and tried to recreate the glassy eye... Parc Cruz style
see tutorial at http://www.flickr.com/photos/parc/2114604092/in/set-72157603471515529/

applied some other features in photoshops
surface blur

all looks fake, pardon me for saying but asian gal's eyes can never be as glassy as those angmohs...

only those green, blue colors eyes will have such sparkling effects.

black and brown eyes will never have such sparkling effects.

IMO it is possible to have "glassy effect" without photoshop but often you need a bright day to achieve the effect...

Beauty of photography is there is no right or wrong... I have people who believe they are purist, no post processing at all...there are those who pay big bucks to learn how to produce Dave hill effects, dragan effect, parc Cruz, rarindra prakara and etc to name a few

No right no wrong...preference and perspective :)

This is nothing about purist. The eyes do look fake because of the pp you have done. they do not balance with the surface blur you applied to the face.

why i say green and blue eyes is more preferred cos of the deep reflection that these eyes can gives which asian eyes (black and brown) can't gives. but on the other hands, asian eyes gives more catch lights then ang mohs due to the eye colors.

this is just my observation.

:)

Tks for sharing!

A little bit overdone but I think this is a good technique if done in moderation. Will definitely try this. TFS!
