Tiring Climb

This is what i like about ang mohs. They are so open minded that they don't mind you taking their picture. In fact they would even pose for you. Unlike some singaporeans who will try to sue you even though you are not trying to take a photo of them. Zz.

Anyway nice series! Do post more! Looking forward to it. :)

Thanks crystal, it helps that they are too tired to resist! :bsmilie:

hmm, normally, ppl (not only angmoh) on holiday are more fun-loving and open to photography. try street shots of tourists from india or indon or taiwan ...... you will like them too!
btw, not its not a 'singaporean' thing to sue unwanted photography .... its in every city of the world.

and I simply love the style of Ghaz's shoots!!

Yes, quite true. If you want to start off on streets, then better to begin with "safe" subjects then move on from there and tourists are one of the safer category coz psychologically, they are here to enjoy themselves and are in unfamiliar territory so they tend to be more open (or docile?:bsmilie: don't mean that in a derogatory manner.)

Among my first few shots where i mingled with tourists:

And this one tourist shot me too:

Hey bro, how come this looks a little elongated??

Hmmm... must be perspective correction. I should have squashed them back to size i suppose but left it as is coz ang mors supposed to be tall mah... (OK, just joking, didn't mean to stereotype) :bsmilie:

brilliantly done...

perfect example of what adding a human subject can do to a completely boring snapshot..kudos mate..

Thanks knight84, I was shooting landscapes that day and saw this man in my background just standing there, very still motionless. Waited a minute or two for him to get out of the way but he just stood there taking in the atmosphere so i decided to switch to my street shooting mode and framed the shot. I like how the elements lead to him, from the shelter to the dustbin (which i will remove next time) and the contemplative man.

Sunny Day

Tricky lighting, didn't want to overexpose the lady's white dress and at the same time, keeping
the shadow details intact. I think i just about made it with 90% of the highlight in her dress
captured.
