That's an understatement actually. I think the east has a very healthy balance of various cultures' foods compared to other parts of Singapore. You have Bedok North blk 85, Simpang Bedok, Bedok Corner (cheng tng always finish by the time I come, bloody hell), Geylang (both Serai and and red light district famous with food), Katong (laksa), East Coast food centre, Changi Airport staff canteens etc.
