Bro, no need to PP already... Very nice

I am very amazed by the quality of the shots from this outing. It seems many have improved by leaps and bounds. Everyone who has posted so far have done good work. Especially those who joined the last newbie shoot at the barrage, has shown significant improvement. Very encouraged.

BTW, I have started to put some of the stuff I posted on my blog. Posted 2 already, one on correction of color cast when using ND/GND and one about gauging the horizon, both stuff I covered in CS posts. I am writing 2 more, one is a port of the hyperfocal distance thingy I posted last time, and will be doing a quick landscape photographer setup checklist for newbies.

Leveling horizon in complex compositions
Color cast problems caused by ND and GND filters

plenty of room for improvement... price of coming late, inexperience, n late for a good spot. 2/10

Don't put yourself down... :) As long as the will is there, the improvement will come.
The main problem with this photo is the very obvious tilt. This scene doesn't present any good reference points for levelling the horizon, but one way would be to look at the reflections. The reflection of any light source should be exactly vertically below it.

The other thing is the colour... there is a very strong blue cast over the entire photo. Looks like white balance issue.

Good shot!
My only nitpick is that the under-construction building is a tad overexposed. I think you shot some bracketed exposures, right? Can try stacking them as layers in photoshop/GIMP, and do some layer blending to reduce the brightness of the construction area.

After that, in late afternoon, went down to Funan with my wife, and we nearly bought a new tripod!!! Ended up with another bag ...

Checked in late..wow..so the BBB virus came back and haunt most of us aft the outing..

Enough said, i also got myself a 6 Stop ND filter from Henessey :lovegrin::lovegrin:

Sorry being late. And the late comer always gets the lousiest light and pics. So here are my 2 shots. Color might be a little off as I did the PP on a laptop. Let me know if you find something looking funky.

PS: I've redone the PP on the pictures and updated with the new versions. Remind me to never again do PP on a laptop while watching world cup...

My Humble Shots. Thank you Bryan for the outing. And Kelvin for the guidance. :)

And Wayne, i will prefer more of a foreground (too much sky in this one) and the reflection of the MBS not cut off as well..

Exposure spot on though~!
