how to show the character left when typing on message.. and how do u know if the sms hav exceeded the limit of 160 characters?

anyway..anyone experienced problem when sending a message which is more thn 160 chars?

If your sms is over 160 characters, it will be broken up into 160 character chunks.

Googling, out of the box, I don't think the iphone has that feature.

Here's a quote from an iphone user in response to a similar question, "Apple wants the iPhone to have a simple and uncluttered UI that still delivers vital info. If a message is going to get split up on someone else's phone, I could couldn't care less. Adding more crap to the screen, like a character counter, just seems awfully silly."

Essentially, apple doesn't think you need it...

Not possible to know unless your phone is jailbroken, then you will have 3rd party applications that will let you know such as iRealSMS, biteSMS, and so on.

i think iPhone OS ver 4 may have SMS char counter.

Probably Apple starts to realize that SMS on Roaming is not cheap.... Every additional SMS is $$..

yeah, its useful to have. Luckily i have unlimited smses otherwise =(.

well there're always alternatives to sms, like whatsapp. =D
