Very often I received letters and notices indicating "This is a computer generated letter and NO signature is required" words at the bottom.

Ooi, computer can generate letters on its own?

Someone must have input text into the computer then got output letter right? then this person should sign right?

Strange commercial practices.

don't you get it...this guyyy he is also a computerrr :bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie:

once upon a time a big shot ask the IT guy to produce report, asked regularly so the IT guy say we should schedule it. The big shot got promoted or resign for other greener field etc, the IT guy left / promoted / resign for other greener field etc, but the computer is still running so long as got paper, ink and electricity it will faithfully churn out reports. so who will sign?

That is interesting.

But all such letters are served as reminder only, there shouldn't have any legal implication, right?

If this someone inputs it to a template, then he/she might not need to sign. Actually the computer needs to sign because it generates the letter but I think maybe someone left out programming the instruction to teach the computer how to put the signature.

might be mass produced sometimes, just swap the names in.

usually it is found on those mass letter informing of changes, and then they just print the address from records onto the front part what..

When you print something from your computer, it is also computer generated. Whether there is a signature or not. But for this, its just a general information that does not require a signature & mainly its for mass posting
