Cannot seem to update. Must the battery be fully charged for it to update? The win file also 5954 KB and not 6,165,130 Bytes as stated in the website. Do I have the right one?

Yes, battery must be full. Don't worry about file size.

Just updated to Windows version. Good!

Look at the file's properties. It should say 5.81 MB (6,096,384 bytes). The numbers you put here are different than the numbers I see on my PC and on the website ;p

I just downloaded the firmware this afternoon. I just updated the camera a few minutes ago. Gonna have to wait till the weekend to try the updated firmware lol. I hope it's better than the v2.0, although I had complain about that one either.

My battery wasn't 100% charged. It can't be, because I charged the camera 2 weeks ago, and I shot several pics last weekend lol. Didn't seem to encounter any problem. But it's better to fully charge your battery in case anything unexpected happens. Also, is your memory card formatted?

By following the instructions, and with decent comprehension of English statements, anyone should not have any problem upgrading the firmware to v2.1 :)

hmmm, , , ,

when I click this link, can't get the version 2.1?

The download for the firmware update program to Ver.2.0 has been temporarily suspended, in order to make sure the reliability of the firmware, more specifically in case of the use of some newly added functions on Custom shooting mode. The download is expected to be available back again around the 20th Oct.

< For the users who have already updated LX3 to Ver.2.0 >
The camera which has been already updated to Ver.2.0, can be used without any problem after the reset of the camera by selecting the [RESET] in Setup menu.
Please note that all settings except the clock setting will be reset to the initial settings. To keep the current settings, please make sure to write down the settings on a note in advance to reset the settings.

was it wrong?

Refresh the page. It will show V2.1.

The update process only takes 10+ secs once you accept 'Yes' to update.

When my cam was updated to 2.0... after using it for a couple of days, i noticed there seems to be some inaccuracy of the battery charge display. Although the batt was fully charged, after some use, it goes flat soon. But it recharges to full quickly. It might be a batt issue...hopefully its only firmware problem, gonna update it soon to 2.1

Ver 2.1 auto focus is SUPERB!!! Faster by alot man :D love it! LX3 rocks!

is it me or everybody?

after upgrade, the Intelligent ISO can only work in AP mode?

Yes, i think before upgrade, it's also the same. Only A and P.

How do you guys update the firmware? I tried many times but still can't seem to get it right??

This is what I did
1) I downloaded and unzipped the file
2) Copy file .bin to SD card. So there are total of 3 files in SD card.
3) Insert the SD card into cam and power on.

Is it suppose to update automatically?

Thanks.

switch to preview mode from Shooting mode first, then power on.

if you copy the .bin to SD card, there will be 2folder and 1 .bin.

After saving the settings in the custom mode(eg C1) with version2.1 firmware I cannot recall the same settings (eg. those saved in custom C1) after I have played with other settings.
Any have similar experience or knows possibly what I did wrongly though I have followed he procedure of saving into the custom mode.
Many tks
