Thanks ziMeng. Indeed, I feel very xin fu... and yes, I am the father. Also, I'm very lucky that my home is very well lit by natural window light... so it's very easy to take pictures. Out of the 5 pictures above, only no.4 needed a flick of fill-flash on the face (off camera of course).

Little Rachael thanks you for your compliments.... though what she says these days sound more like "da da da ba ba ba wa wa wa".

You can also learn from her... and stick out your tongue on your next photoshoot. :bsmilie:

Little Rachael is so cute now because when she smiles, it is 100% genuine. She finds every little thing amusing. She laughs from her heart. As her father, I'm in a very privileged position because I get to photograph her pure innocence... So I strive to capture the essense of her personality as well as my modest photography skills would afford me.

Also, little Rachael doesn't pose. Whatever she does is for real. So sometimes, photographing her can be difficult because she's sometimes in a bad mood.

Just to share a couple more photos of shots where she's not that cooperative... Babies are very rewarding to photograph, but it's not exactly that easy. :bsmilie:

No.7 is my current favourite as well. But don't be deceived by her angelic looks. This baby has one hell of a temper. I'm going to have my hands pretty full when she gets a little older. :sweat:

Heh heh.. yah. I know your public face, but then again, I cannot really say I know who you are if you know what I mean. I think most people who look through this section in Clubsnap would have seen your pictures... and I think you were also featured in the newspapers once?

I guess if you are paid to pose, then you have to be 'guai' and do what the photographers tell you. But hopefully, one day you will be able to find a photograher to is interested in photographing you as who you are, and not what they want you to be. Personally, I find that the best portraits are those that capture the subject's personality. It can be posed, but the personality must be captured. To do that they must be interested in you as a person, and not just a pretty face who is paid to do their bidding.

From your reaction to baby Rachael, I think if a photographer is clever, he will pose you with a baby. This is a good idea for several reasons. Firstly, because you love babies, I believe your personality will come shining through. It will be beautiful if this can be captured. The second reason is... well captured woman with babies pictures sell well as stock pictures.
