just a quick 'survey'...(cars)

Why oh why are Singaporeans so concerned with what others think of them? Buy a car based on what *you* want. Not on how you think other people will think of you. It's rather pathetic really. If you don't know those people, why should you care what they think?

And besides, with all the TS's talk of 'orgasmic' acceleration and reaching illegal speeds on the freeways here she just sounds like a hoon, or as we'd call them in Australia, a bogan, and deserves to have her license cancelled. Sounds like there's a lot of testosterone there regardless of gender. Such speak of being able to park big cars in HDBs is stupid anyway. Why don't you first move to a condo instead of an HDB, where you spend a hell of a lot more time than sitting in your car. I'd rather live somewhere nice most of my time and have a realistic car rather than having an overly expensive car and coming home every night to some place less than desirable.

I have a few qns for u.

Melbourne the grapes is it all sour one arh?

So, u living in a nice place now? Can recommend me one? My house not very desirable, kids take supermarket trolley and ram against my gate, despite all these sufferings, none of the cars parked at the HDB carpark downstairs belongs to me.

Can you ask Nissan make a GTR bus for me? Unfortunately, I spend more time out there each day then the time I spend at home. On avg, I spend only like 8 hrs at home everyday only....

Anyway, as to why u need to care abt how others view u, I suggest u go consult Philip Kotler. He will tell u why. All I can tell u is there are two things which is present in all of us at some point of time. Perception and need for affiliation....

And using your theory abt not needing to care abt how others view u, then I can conclude that you should stop toking because in the first place nobody is suppose to give a hoot abt whatever u r gonna say. So, have u asked urself, why waste that energy to type that whole load of your bullshit here when nobody is gonna care anyway??

Oh yes, if u dunno who is Philip Kotler, I dun blame u. But just a gentle reminder, there is always the library, if melbourne dun have library, there is always Google!

ok guys.

bought the gtr.delivery in 2 weeks time.

so i'll be the ah lian in a 'ahbeng' car.
but it's ok.

Congrats on your purchase!

Invite us out to shoot ur new baby leh;p

Haha... Anyway, didn't know that the Z4 is designed by woman for BMW, now i learn smth new;)

But, i'm very curious, just how many cars does that stable in your house contain?? If incovenient to reveal then it's ok.

i reckon the GTR is a great choice. not to put down the audi, my brother got an S5 a couple of years ago and he still has the smile on his face.

but comparing both machines, the audi is indeed beautiful, classic lines, V8 growl, superb ride (according to my brother), but somehow i don't think it'll hold it's own 10 years down the road. the gtr oh the other hand looks to be an instant classic. bold lines, phonomenal technological wizzardry, brutal performance, what more could one ask.

got.. how to earn so much money? :bsmilie::bsmilie:

please teach me.. i also want to buy a gtr someday..

how?
i wont say i earn ALOT.
compared to some of my peers(actually only 1):bsmilie:, what he earn per 3 months is what i earn in 1 year.

save up WHEN the days are good.always be prepared for rainy days.
i just had my rainy days when lehman fell.

i dont mean to put a wet blanket over you, but buying a gtr is 'easy', maintaining it is tough.(at least, for the normal singaporean)
not to mention if you are in your 20s, your insurance for the GTR will kill you, it will kill you 10x over if you do not have any NCD.

guys/gals

thanks so much for supporting my purchase for the GTR.
i know i wont make a wrong choice...
if i hadnt drove it, i'll prob think it's over rated.
but i had indeed whacked the GTR, and i'm REALLY impressed with the acceleration.goodness gracious...the impression is more or less a benchmark set in my mind, until another make comes up with a 'budget' supercar.

gtr IS branded indeed, as a poorman's ferrari.ask around and you'll know what i mean,

but jeremy clarkson is right.NIssan hasnt built a car, they've built a MILESTONE.

a couple of years ago?
s5 was launched in late 2007 IIRC.

but yes, v8 growl is nice.
one thing i couldnt get over is the transmission.
why didnt they fit the car with a DSG-style trans?
that's the IN thing now.

and that is what won me over(at least for the trans department).the gearshifts for GTR could be as fast as 0.2 secs, and yes, i've heard/feel it for myself.
unreal.....

They wanted to lure the female buyers back with the new model. So they got a woman to design the exterior. Not entirely convinced that it will work, but it definitely does look more like will appeal to more female buyers than the outgoing model.

yes, it was a couple of years ago (2007), or there abouts. it was one of the first S5 to hit sydney. when he got his, there were only 3 units in NSW. (he traded in his modified 200sx for it, plus a whole wad of $$)

And i think they suceeded somehow....

I saw 4 different Z4s in four different locations last weekend... But one thing.... I like the front design, but the rear seems to be lacking somewhat....:dunno:

jeanie, congrats on your purchase of your new toy.

thanks
hopefully i can share some pics with you guys soon.

i know cars in aussie land are pretty cheap(compared to sgp).
how much did his s5 cost over there?

when i was studying in aus, a base wrx cost about 35-40k niah.

S5 and A5 were launched in Singapore around mid-2008.

The V8 S5 is on tiptronic. The newer one will be on S-tronic (ie Audi-speak for DSG which is the same thing) but that is IIRC V6 with SC. Not sure why the V8 one does not have S-tronic as it should be able to handle the torque.

Q: Is the Nissan version of DSG faster than the VW/Audi ones?

Nissan GTR for the way. Best track car in the world. Consider the RS6 if you can afford.

How old is TS anyway. Rich guy!:bsmilie:

GMAN

its Rich Gal... young, single, and got many many cars... u no chance liao btw...

so ferrari sold or kept in the garage as per the previous?

 Makes me curious how she look like?

unfortunately, the current s5 models are just 6 speed tiptro.
it wont feature the new stro trans wor.
the new rs4 will be launched this year IIRC.
the GR6 trans confirm + guarantee shifts much faster than the s5 when i tested it even when i put the s5 into dynamic mode.
