Hope I can resist this poison. But you will never know. When the time comes, I may be one of the few to let go of the K20D. Wait and see first . . .;p

BUT, I must now resist. My K20D is only 2 months old as of yesterday . . .:embrass:

and I still love it. I dun need video as I am a still photog. oh well . . .

electronic level, built-in hdr, faster AF, 100% view finder...?

haha . . . That cannot resist but now not enough $$$, unless someone takes my K20D at a good price . . .:D

Dun mind i ask what r the top end lenses both prime & zoom that'll do justice to this new power toy?

anyone with experience with the Carl Zeiss ZK lenses? :)

Must be the Limiteds in Pentax line-up as well as the weather-sealed star(*) lenses. Carl Zeiss can AF?

Carl Zeiss mostly manual. The Carl Zeiss has a T* Plannar 50mm F1.4 for the K-mount but at USD$799, I would go for the Voightlander 58mm F1.4, which is cheaper or even our DA* 55mm F1.4, which is weather-sealed too.

FA* 85mm, DA 40mm, DA 70mm, FA 21mm, FA 31mm, FA 43mm, FA 50mm, DA* 55mm, FA 77mm are our famous primes.

DA* 16-50mm, DA* 50-135mm, DA* 60-250mm are some examples of our famous zooms.

The K-7 was designed with Pentax's own DA and FA Limited lenses in mind -- these small, sharp and top-notch lenses will do the camera justice for sure. Metal build for that retro feel too.

to be honest, at the end of the day, no one more than the pixel peepers are going to care much about what lens was used and how good the resolution and sharpness is at 100% crop.

there is nothing wrong in chasing for it, if you can afford it, of course.. but i won't call it "doing justice". good photographers do justice to a camera, not the lens.

trying to avoid to come into this thread, strong poison here......

Bro looking at the picture, I'd say you're already half way there as you've got that lovely DA* 55mm f/1.4 in your hands... envy :bsmilie:

If taking my other DA's lenses into consideration, I think more than half way...

Thx for the info. :) Is there any primes at 17mm or wider?

Owners doing justice to their cams r very subjective, so quite obviously what i meant was doing the improved features & technology edge any justice la. ;p

With newer technology breakthrough, the existing line of lenses need to be able to support it mah, like that then optimise the whole sys. :D

da15 limited, da14.

haha the K-7 has AF adjustment for all lenses and distortion & CA correction for DA lenses. so for best optimisation you'd want to go for the DA lenses, especially the DA Limiteds and DA* lenses

Hi man, Desmond, I thot I saw your DA*55 mounted on this K7 ... :bsmilie:

I like the punchline 'Resistance is futile' ... join the 'red army'

really would like to see how smart it is on green mode and just how improved the auto white balance is. I believe these are contributing factors to bringing in new users since its pretty much expected they will use green mode most of the time at first.

so far..the K-7 selling points not really convincing yet to trade up the K20D in my opinion unless freaking cheap.
