The following was direct from the PEF as the camera sees it.

General steps were:
i) auto-tone
ii) crop
iii) darken the blacks
iv) resize to websize

Another one to share, a b&w treatment of our Pentaxians squad - led by two kids scout:

been busy over the weekend so i didn't have a chance to look through my photos earlier. was so sad to find that some of my photos were corrupted by my sd card going crazy. the digital equivalent of a light leak perhaps haha. see this pic of bernard & fw.. luckily it was only a couple of them that were affected..

nonetheless, it was a good day with the pentax family as usual & a super hard workout, on par with our previous macritchie outing. didn't get a chance to talk much since everyone (myself included) were gasping for breath throughout the hike. though exhausted and perspiring there were still happy faces all around. probably all glad that they were finally getting some exercise.

Nice pop-art. :bsmilie:

No, seriously. It's like playing with expired film. You never know what you're gonna get.

:angry::angry:

luckily this wasn't a paid shoot or a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing.. hope that formatting the card fixed it. but it was quite a surprise to see neon green and pink :bsmilie:

What is the make of the SD card you used?

Or could it be the cam's sensor?

I am learning too.

Let's form a Macro 4 Dummies group.:bsmilie:

kingston class 6 8gb sdhc. will try it out a few more times and with a few more sd cards see if the problem persists & try to troubleshoot.

pentax got a lot of macro pros, must spread the knowledge to us beginners!

Maybe we should have a macro session for next outing? AMK garden is nice ...

WHAt! AMK garden..okok..come..come..i still got time to make sandwich for all..:bsmilie:

The kingston SD card got some batches got some problems... use sandisk la.. though its more ex but its faster and more reliable...

i think it's cos i often leave the SD card in my laptop card reader. heard that it shortens the lifespan of the SD card as the computer is often accessing the drive root. :nono:
