Hi guys,

I trust that I have not as yet given you reason to ban me :bsmilie:

Right now you may wish to though.

I am not about to leave the issue about model safety/awareness simply be frozen.

I posted a point in a short lived thread where I stated .....

"The girl in my avatar is a model and a friend of mine"

If I was to know that some perv treated her in ways mentioned here, he would not be standing"

Maybe worded slightly different, but the gist was the same.

The feedback from a MOD was "So ?"

This MOD was not even up to date with what was in his/her forum and the answer was "So ?"

To expand on my views if you care to read ....

This lovely person in my avatar (that I am proud to display) it a good friend of mine.

She (Ali) is a model; would hate to think that she (Ali) was treated the same way that some models obviously are being there.

If any perv asked her to do such things I can assure you that he/she would need assistance to walk.

It is one thing to simply dismiss the post with "so" , but it is another thing to not offer a discussion on the problem.

We have heard from MODS to this point and it all seems that the problem is too hard to deal with.

I and I think many others would like to hear it from those that really do have a say,
"ADMIN"

As a side issue, I have been a happy member of CS for a few years to date.

I have directed people interested in photography to this site as I feel it is the best and most honest (if you can take some harsh feedback :bsmilie:).

I would like to continue to do so, and would be even more proud to do knowing that CS makes a stand on model welfare.

You guys were passionate enough to raise an airfare for a model.

So why not raise a hidden forum or alike to deal with the situation?

Cheers :)

Let me 'this mod' give u a piece of his mind...

Your thread title was? Urgent, all mods please respond... blah blah blah, and your 3 year old boy ranting for a milk that was overdue... its past midnight when you posted, and you expect immediate action. Then i gave you one which wasn't what you expect. Then you delete the thread. So? Our fault again.

And who the hell targetted the girl in your avatar? Is she a wannabe in CS? So why raise a query based on nothing? IIRC she wasn't even in SG, so why drag her into the picture?

Used as an example

Chill bro and leave this question to the admin.

I am shure if you did handle the thread / post the way that they want then all is well. ...Chill

Ok, probably infancy stage, cos a 3 year old don't cry for milk at midnight.

You deleted the thread, probably we should reinstate that thread and let more ppl judge it?

Btw, i don't think we're here to entertain you by performing what you expected to see in the middle of the night.

item in red is not true

and "the MOD" said

"Should not be a problem. But... does it make a diff if its members viewable only?

I'll discuss with the admins. Sound reasonable, but not exactly realistic."

so i don't know where you get the idea that

"We have heard from MODS to this point and it all seems that the problem is too hard to deal with."

Hi ortega,

I have no issue with you and infact am sleepy on all else.

But, to nit pick or not

Oh, ok, I will nit pick.

I did NOT request to have the thread re-opened, I merely said, "be my guest and re instate that thread" as a response.

I look forward to seeing how that thread goes now :)

Since you didn't request for the thread to be opened, maybe the mods should re-close it since you have like 3 threads going on simultaenously on the same subject matter.

I've read the thread, and unfortunately, I agree with DCA and Ortega on their points made here. You sound really...eh...donno what to say.... :p

this (and it's related issues) are getting overblown.:thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd:

if anyone thinks the modeling trade is without it's risk is simply not ready for the trade.... pretty similar to "hungry" moller that TNP trying to get a FREE tix to tokyo.

If TS want's to "protect" his Avatar... then since TS already know and is able to advice her... then why go on this vendetta forcing through simply because that person is at risk? Why not cut her from the internet as a whole??? terminate ALL her communications and keep her under lock and guard.... sheeze...

At the end of the day... if the temptation of glamor is too great for any individual and wants to play with fire.... better buy fire-protection suit instead.

Hmmm, this is a photography forum right?

so, if you think this is a danger place for ur AVATAR,

better stay away.

My 2 cents,

cheer:dunno:

Hi TS and other like-minded members, I'm sorry, but may I know what's with this obsession about mollers and stuff?

From your other thread on a similar topic, only a few points stood out for me:

1. The model in ur Avatat is ur fren
2. She is pretty and she is pretty
3. You will hamtam any photographers that dare to play punk with her

My question is, what if she is not ur fren, what if she is not pretty, what if she's not a moller?
Will you still be as aggressive in your protection over her?

I think we should leave the beatings to the moller's bf or brothers or fathers, or even to the police.
Girls in model shoots are being paid their time, if they get harassed, CS must step in?
Mollers in TFCD want to get a portfolio for free, if they get harassed, CS must step in?

Next time if I get over-quoted and was given rude treatment when buying things at CP, I want CS to step in too?
Admins and Mods, can call that uncle and scold him for me!

Let's be realistic here, modeling is a cruel business in many ways. As a responsible photography community, we can
help create awareness and make a strong stand against perverts. But when it comes to a willingly moller and photographer
behind closed doors, it's really up to the individual to protect her own interests. There's only so much we can do.

With all due respect to fellow CSers who are concerned about the welfare of mollers, I believed most of us here share ur
views about protecting them from pervert photographers. But there's only so much we can do from behind the computer
screens. And to be frank, I think most of the mollers out there are more street-wise than a lot of the guys here
