Canon 450D or 40D??

Hi,

i'm new in DSLR and i've just borrowed my fren's 400D to play around for a bit.. now i'm deciding whether to get a USED 40D or a new 450D body, which roughly costs around the same price.. ~1k

any advice on which one to get??

I have chosen the 450D over the 40D (even though the cost similar) is because I like the lighter weight when using the 450D. Some may argue that it (450D) is too light or the handling is not on par with the 40D. However at least I have a choice of using a VG if I am shooting for a long period or the camera alone with I am traveling with it...

hope it helps but u can get a used 450D Kit at Peninsular at around $890. Very good condition.
or a 1000D Kit at around $780.
