A qn for you guys, thks in advance..:)

1. May I know how disorientating is the strobe functions on these fenix lights at abt 2m range.

2. I'm looking at TK11, which is 225 lumens but without strobe.
If it's shined into someone's eye's, is it enough to momentarily blind that person as well?Thks.

1. the strobe can cause nausea I had tried a P2D on a friend before.

2. TK11 is very bright and can blind a person which give you a few seconds advantage to strike if you are being attacked.

If you're looking for a flashlight with TK11 size but comes with strobe function, u can have a look at Olight M20 Premium.

I own Fenix P3D and Olight M20, and I can say that the stobe function is something that I wont try in the dark:confused:

The fenix tk11 @ 225 lumens will momentarily disorientate anyone when suddenly shined into their eyes. I've used 100 lumen torches that does disorientate a person whose eyes are already adapted to the night.. But a strobe would definately work better and might even cause some minor nauseaness on certain people. I know I did when I accidentally turned on my olight M20 in strobe mode (last used mode) after getting used to the darkness for extended period in a confine area.

M20-Warrior Premium R2 (250 lumens) built in with pre-settable strobe
or
HERMES H20 (225 lumens) with programmable strobes on untwist the bezel

wow, thks for all the replies! very helpful..:)

QN:

1. >If you're looking for a flashlight with TK11 size but comes with strobe function,...
Ok, now I know I want the strobe function, but smaller than TK11 size will be nice. Any recommendations?

2a. Olight M20 Premium looks really badass with that front bezel, any bad experience with airport customs?

2b. Which models come with strike bezel? Which with rear strike bezel besides HERMES H20?;makes whole lot of sense with rear bezel for hammer-fist strikes.

But a lot less info online abt Hermes flashlights, me a noob and concern abt reliablity?

The olight m20 has a removable strike bezel. No issues moving through custom since the bezel is pretty conservertive.. Personally, the front strike bezel works best at the TK11/m20 size. Any smaller and it's not solid enough for griping. Plus the mid barrel bezel is useful for glove usage. Tactically speaking, a rear bezel is also pretty much useless since a reverse strike is a split slower than a forward strike. Plus you'd want a quick half press of flash to throw your assialant off guard while you strike so it makes sense for a forward don't you think?

Hi guys sorry if im OTing here. Im looking to get rid of my fenix lights (L2D, P2D, TK11) to fund a purchase for my dream HID. Anyone interested just pm me. SOON I WILL OUTSHINE ALL OF U:bsmilie:

Polarion PH40?

Strobe function... if u need 1, then u have to decide what/how the strobe is "designed/programmed" into the operation sequence. personally i prefer the strobe function to be able to "independent & presettable" instead of "cycle thru".

I carry many torches with strike bezels & haven't encounter anything bad with airport customs, I think as long as the "spikes" are not "too tall"...
many of my buyers also report no incident for the strike bezel I have bulk customized for Surefire torches
