Hi all. Planning to get this lens for school events for my 450D. Thinking of replacing the kit lens with it. How good is it? Please comment thanks.

Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 lens is a lens yielding effective zoom range of 44.8-120mm on Canon 450D. It works well in stationary or near staionary situation with adequate to good sharpeness at aperture F4.0 till F11 and adequate lighting situations. Generally, it is a value-for-money lens that rivals the original camera makers' lens like Canon, Minolta, Nikon or Pentax.
