EX 430 problem?

I encounter this problem in many wedding shooting..
After shooting with this external flash starting from the morning, afternoon...
It tends to malfunction during wedding dinner (indoor)...

It shows the power light on and charged ready (red light).
But when shooting. it fails to fire...
It even happened more frequently when the camera is pointing to
the stage with bright lighting.....

I wonder if someone have encounter the same problem?
is the 430EX problem?
or there is a short coming of the model...
how do you solve it?

Did u try to change another pack of fully charge batteries.

Maybe it overheated? My 430ex overheated b4 but after I took out the hot batteries and air cooled it for 10mins it came back to life.

but usually if low batt.. it would take long time to charge up until we see the red LED right?

I am surprise that it usually just happened indoor air conditioned room.... the chances of over heated seems like lower than I shoot for whole day long in the afternoon.
