Happened to passby the Tang Dynasty city today (26 may) 6pm... Saw alot of fire engines (at least 3 parked along the roadside, a few in the carpark), ambulances, police cars and other SCDF vehicles... At least 2 fire hydrant points were used...

But no smoke or fire seen... :dunno:

must be some annoying troublemakers or vandals. Idiots like these make such places get sealed up, walled up and installed with suv cams. Same thing happened for Woodnuek, someone started a fire and it burned down down the roof. :nono:

Why do people wan to play with fire so much? :flame:

All the more I'm staying away from exploring abandoned places in Sg already. Now the authorities will monitor such places even more, and I think they're not going to get too friendly with traspassers from now on.

Well done to the bozos who set fire to the place.

(I'm surprised that they haven't bulldozed the place down, though. Weren't they supposed to do that in Jan?)

That is one big potential problem when people share information of locations in forums or online sites. Troublemakers tend to spoil everything for others. That is why i prefer only to disclose information to trusted people rather than just anybody, i do have past experiences of meeting such inconsiderate people. :thumbsd:

hopefully those responsible will get caught. firefighters have batter things to do den fight fires in no-mans land. :thumbsd:

i was there on saturday...saw a chinaman trying to enter.. dunno whether he succeed or not cos i left after a while...
notice there was this big "moat" beside the building... full of water i think a very good mozzie breeding ground... how come they nv do anything abt it..? :dunno:

All jumping to conclusion?

The whether is dry, bush fires aren't uncommon.

haha actually there is..there is even a tree that was uprooted by nature..haha

but the newspaper showed the fire on the roof of the building so cant jump to conclusions either

Not jumping to conclusions.

Just following the Ockham's Razor theory.

From the picture, it looks like the fire happened inside the building. No bush. And conditions must also be favourable for bushfires to happen. There has been a lot of evidence of vandalism though. Yup, even littering is considered vandalism, and there's usually quite a bit of rubbish in such places.
