Take out car labels and damm.. dont shoot cars on grass man!it looks damm weird and you are shooting a sports sedan not a rough and tough 4x4.

VincentEvo9MR_Front001web.jpg

the **** is fc uktion .
go for a bg that is more neutral. An Evo9MR that i shot recently and i also forgot to take out the car labels. ()@#@(&#(*@

Cheers.

evoX is a 4x4 ;p cant see ur photo lei bro.

I get the feeling this is a very casual series of snapshots - the driver seems to be on the phone, so you got off with your camera and took some pictures.

#1 photo : aged treatment looks great, but doesn't go well with a high-tech brand new car

#2 photo : I didn't really like the burn effect on the sand; its jarring

#3 photo : what the rest said about the distracting background cars

#1: noted.

#2 noted, i tried to give abit of texture to the sands.

#3 noted

If you are showing off your car, you had achieve it. If you are showing your photo-shooting skill, think you need to see more car magazine before go for car shooting again..

pls use your common sense, if it was my car, i wouldn't have someone in the car as well. it's my first time posting up a thread, first time shooting a car. i post it up for C&C and for people to enjoy and not for some useless comments.

Ahh, alright its a 4wd, not a 4 by 4 with no bumpers and bull bar jacked up like no tmr.

and yes for reference try to look at coti cars brochures not the sub standard japanese/koreans ones. Look at the Audi RS4 and R8 ones if you manage to get your hands on one. :)

Matching a car with gravel/road should be easiest and looks most correct imo. change the **** to fc uk can view already. Try searching around theres a do/don't for automotive photography. pretty darn useful.

yeah. thanks man. will try again.

When you go shoot with the model, can I come along? :)

i feel pic #1 the aged effect is kinda like Need for Speed: Most Wanted
when they do the cars drive through animation
i can relate to the effect and i quite like it :)

bro,

now u into cars liao ah? hahhahah

a few pointers u may find useful if u wanna shoot cars. not tat i shoot a lots of cars, but i am very much into cars, ask around in some car forums and the senior members may know my nick. :)

1) if u want to shoot cars, u need to do some study up of the cars. u need to find the unique feature on the external of the cars. eg. for Evo X, the unique feature of the car is the headlight, tail-light and the spoiler. basically it mean one look even at close up also can recognised the car. try to include the unique exterial of the car in ur photos.

2) reflection and colour. reflection will bring out the shine in the car painwork. try to understand wat colour will stand out from wat colour background. Evo X stock blue is called Lightning Blue if i not wrong. so it should stand out from yellow background. try dampsey road.

3) try not to shoot straight on at the front of the car, most cars looks good from 45 degree, try shooting at the 4 corners. if u want face shot of the car, try with a slightly higher angle (cover some of the roof) or lower angle (floor level). and normally symetrical rules will be good.

hope this help. :)

bro,

now, personally, this is the best photo in this series. but there are still certain things u need to be careful.

1. straighten the wheel. unless u want to show case the sponsored tyre (which need to be clean and sparkling shined)

2. ur sky and the colour of the car dun go well, but ur yellow tint grass bring out the colour of the evo very nicely. maybe u wanna try to pp the sky and the grass (except the car) to b&w and see wats the effect.

3. try to pp away the erp thingy, a bit distracting to me.

4. lastly, this is very personally liao. i personally dun really like it to be slanted. but i know lots of car mags like to slant their cars when there is a RQ.

just sharing.

jay the newbie also ;)

Great shots...Texture looks a lot like it's been shot in film, is it?

???

hehe.. .all these looks like snap shots to me. search around clubsnap and you'll see there are some professional shooters for cars.
