Hi,

A newbie into photography, and keen to get my hands on the first camera that is slightly better performance than my compact cameras used previously. Like to take scenery photos and probably night views as well, sometimes including skylines and the fireworks.

More into Background views.. and thus would like to ask for some advice. Not going into DSLR yet, as i have been doing my homework, but not compact either, as I would really like to experience the different type of shots i could combine and take with these prosumer cameras?

Was just wondering if any experts could give some advise between P50 & P5100 (Nikon) and also does the MP affects the skyline view alot?

:)

You might do better with the P50 because it's got a wider lens and should be better for landscapes.

Both are good. MP is useful for bigger print. IF you dun print big, then no need to get a high MP camera. :)
