Exif data goes missing after editing on CS3?

I am using a Canon 30D. I will process my pics in Lightroom first before i transfer them to CS3 for further edit. Resizing and all.

I will them upload the pics to flickr but i cant seem to find my exif data. Does exif data go missing after you editing the pic? if not, how can i include my exif data in my flickr?

This will happen if you use 'Save to Web' instead of 'Save'.

i dont select save for web. i go to 'save as' then jpeg file.

but i know i know whats wrong with it. once you merge or flatten your layer, you will lose exif data. how can i prevent that?

i have been flattening my pics and saving as jpeg. exif is still intact after uploading to website. did your exif disappear before or after uploading to the website.

if im not wrong. you have to convert your pics to 8bit before you can save as jpg

mmm.. i flatten my pics to drag it to another PSD file. so i guess thats why my exif went misssing.
