I have a OTG external hard drive that come with slots for mem cards.

Recently I install a Pendrive SW onto the drive. Now the PC don't read the HD anymore. The PC only show the presnce of the slot for the mem card. CF, SD etc.

How to get the PC to read the HD again? As the PC cannot read the HD, I cannot unstall the SW.

Pse help

Can the casing be opened up ?
If can open up, can try to remove the hard disk itself and connect it directly (via an adapter if necessary) to the IDE cable of your PC and reformat.
If cannot open, may have to bring back to the service centre.

Hi there,

It seems to be a problem with your drive letter assignment. Try this:

1. Plug in your OTG external drive via USB (I assume you're using a USB connection here)
2. Go to Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Computer Management.
3. Select Disk Management under the header Storage.
4. You should be able to see your external HDD most likely as Disk 1. Right click on the blue bar (your external HDD partition) and select Change Drive Letter and Paths...
5. Click Change... and select a less used letter, X: for example, and click Ok.
6. Try and see if you can access the drive now, if not, unplug and replug the drive and check again.
7. PM/Post here if you are still having problems =)

I hope that will resolve your problem. DO NOT reformat the drive (yet)!
Good luck =)
