D300... aiming too low la.. D3x :p buy liao can eat grass for a long long time..

Cannot lah. Buy liao no money to get good glass. Shoot D3 only with a 50/1.4 meh?

Okie, noted, will bring my spare tripod along on that day. It's not much different from the one that I'm using, may be the colour and length.

no problem : )
I may invest on a controller first and tripod later
cos this mth spent on SB-600 and a whaletail liao...
have to control the BBB virus.kekeke

FYI, I'm a female... :confused::bsmilie:
Haha... Nevermind, for the 'mistake' that you forgot to put your nick in the list, you are then to pose as model for the rest of us to shoot. Haha... :bsmilie:

Just kidding hor... ;)

Hello..all,

I am looking to get my first DSLR soon, 40D or D300?:dunno: Please give some suggestion for me btw these 2? I like to shoot fast & sharp. Shoot anything that is nice like you guys....heheh.... I am not going to eat grass also:sweat::bsmilie: Help.......:sweat:

Hope that I can get 1 of these 2 DSLR before this nite outing.....;p

You will never go wrong with either of them.. most important follow your heart.
go by the touch and feel, see which one communicate with you more :p

Some feels telling me is 40D....I hope that this DSLR won't dissapoint me:D:bsmilie:

They won't be out before the night outing. And with the estimated pricing of the 40D and D300, $3000+ is inevitable unless you get 2nd-hand lenses.

I am looking into getting 1 DSLR + 3 lens + 1 Flash + Grip + some acessories.
Maybe it looks like I need to push up to 4.5k - 5k..:sweat: Looks like going to eat grass.....:bsmilie:

My friend.... 40D won't be out till later this year or early next year..... why not just come to the gathering with whatever camera you have, just for fun. Save your money now and wait for the next new model from either Canon or Nikon to come.....

Hahaha.... when 40D arrived, Nikon will be force to come out a new model like maybe D250 or D300.... no worry !! ;)

FYI, I'm a female... :confused::bsmilie:

Hahaha.... welcome !! Don't scare got no camera or tripod..... like last time, someone will have a 'spare' one around if any.... Err.... female needs one. ;):D

i think u may have to review yr budget?...lol....if this is yr 1st dslr....my recommandation is a body+zoom lens(for a more general use)+camera bag(important!)+dry cabinet

maybe towards the later part when u r more familar, u can get the accessories and more lens to suit your need......

and if u are selecting between canon or nikon......i will suggest u can read up more on the specs, review, etc......

oh...now i remember....where is our mr ixus?

Thank you guys, for all the good advice. :thumbsup: I really appreciate all these good points and views. I have read the specs of these 2 models everywhere...it seems endless.. :angel::sweat:

A good cam should be able to produce good pics. Fast, sharp, no noise at any ISO, heavy duty, good pics day and night, and cheap:bsmilie:. All kinds of functions and new features are only there to further assist the photograher for easy taking of photos. Of cos photographer is the main source to capture good pics.:bsmilie:

Now that's tough. When will such a camera be available? :dunno:

Just get a camera, a decent zoom lens, a bag and a dry box/cabinet and go shooting.
